Treating Acne - The No-Windex Way

Oh dear, you’ve reached the near end of your mind in trying to deal with recurrent acne that keeps popping up no matter how many times you wash your face. You’ve scrubbed yourself raw, you’ve used an alcohol soaked pad to close pores and you’ve avoided all the foods that are supposed to cause acne. Now you’re just raw and hungry and depressed, right?

Well, I’ve got some news for you. All those methods are wrong. Yes, you need a new acne treatment and the best acne treatments could solve your problems real quick.

I and I know others have certainly tried some of the previously listed acne treatments out of frustration hoping that just maybe this or that legendary step will work, but it rarely does. Scrubbing inflames skin and acne making you look redder, alcohol will kill bacteria but it also leaves skin dry and brittle on the surface and avoiding foods just makes you unhappy and unless you are literally rubbing pizza on your face it won’t contribute to acne anyway. So, how do you find the best acne products?

Here are the simple steps that will go a long way towards relieving you of acne. Step one, buy and use a cleanser or facial mask that contains Salicylic Acid. This stuff sinks into your pores and works to loosen and unclog the oil and dead skin plugs that are keeping bacteria trapped. You may not feel like spending thirty seconds to a minute twice daily is doing any good but it is. The exposed acne medication system works well for many people here.

Next use a leave in lotion containing Benzoyl Peroxide on your typical trouble spots. This is an anti microbial that will kill the acnes bacteria living in your pores. Do this after washing each day, but don’t overuse you may inadvertently dry out your skin. For many, the proactiv acne solution may be a good option to choose at this point.

Lastly if you have trouble with red, swollen acne you can look for a product that will help to reduce inflammation. A product containing Sulfur can help as well as continuing to work on unclogging those pores. After applying your lotion from the second step you can try placing a cool towel on your face to help reduce immediate swelling. There are lots of home remedy solutions online that may or may not work. This really does tend to depend on your actual skin problem. Your taking your skin into your own hands at that point, just don’t apply any chemicals that are specifically used for other purposes. You’d be surprised how many people think using Windex on acne is a good thing, since the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding came out.
